Die Manuel Rodríguez ECOLOGÍA-Serie besinnt sich auf die Traditionen des europäischen Gitarrenbaus der Ur-Großväter.
Im Kern ist die Serie auf diesen alten Traditionen aufgebaut und ökologisch somit auf neustem Stand. Kein einziges Tropenholz kommt zum Einsatz. Statt dessen werden europäische Hölzer wie Fichte, Nussbaum, Ahorn und Akazie verbaut. Darüberhinaus wird ausschließlich wasserbasierter Öko-Mattlack verwendet. Diese gesamtheitlich ökologisch nachhaltige Auslegung hebt die ECOLOGÍA-Serie deutlich von anderen Gitarren ab.
Klanglich sind die in Europa handgefertigten Instrumente moderat abgestimmt und für einen ausgeglichenen Sound konzipiert. Dafür sorgt unter anderem die traditionelle Halskonstruktion mit Schwalbenschwanz-Verbindung, die neben der hohen Stabilität auch für eine sehr gute Schwingungsübertragung garantiert.
Ein besonderes Feature aller 4/4-Gitarren von Manuel Rodríguez ist die GEWA Armauflage, die zwei entscheidende Vorteile bietet: Sie sorgt durch ihre abgerundete Form für ein besonders angenehmes Spielgefühl und ermöglicht ein vollflächig freies Schwingen der Decke, da sie ein Abdämpfen durch den aufgelegten rechten Arm verhindert.

In Deutschland gefertigte Hannabach 815HTC-Saiten werden ab Werk aufgezogen und runden das Soundkonzept dieser Serie perfekt ab.
